Mijn redenatie is daarnaast ook: we hebben Phyrexia (het kindje van Yawgmoth) weer in de storyline gehad, maar er is geen woordt gerept over Yawgmoth zelf, naar mijn weten. Dat moet toch wel wat zeggen of niet?

Meh, ik vind hem niet zo geweldig. Teveel Magic novels eindigen met 'en toen kwam Nicol en gingen ze vechten'. Hij lijkt eerder een soort fallback te zijn als er iemand een writer's block oploopt en geen goed slot weet te verzinnen...
Nicol Bolas is sowieso de baas van magic, het is een soort godfather. Hij heeft alle touwtjes in handen!

Karn is lang niet zo sterk als Nicol, als character dan. Nicol is naast Yawgmoth 'DE' badass van magic.

The control-change effect has no duration. It will last until the game ends or the affected creature leaves the battlefield. It may be superseded by a later control-change effect.

If the damage from Nicol Bolas’s third ability is prevented or redirected, the rest of the effect will still happen. Specifically, the number of cards discarded and permanents sacrificed isn’t tied to the amount of damage dealt.

For the third ability, if the player is an illegal target when the ability tries to resolve, the ability doesn’t resolve and none of its effects will happen. No damage will be dealt, no cards will be discarded, and no permanents will be sacrificed.
