9/20/2014 "Placed on a creature you control" includes that creature entering the battlefield with +1/+1 counters on it. If a creature would enter the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it while you control Hardened Scales, it enters with that many counters plus one.

Zelfs na 3 jaar weet ik het nog! 
Het was op zich al duidelijk geantwoord, maar technisch gezien bestaat het verplaatsen van een counter uit twee handelingen: hem ergens af halen en vervolgens ergens anders een counter op zetten. En op de tweede handeling heeft het replacement effect van Hardened Scales inderdaad invloed.

Werkt ook wel lekker met all Spikes hier lijkt me. Die hebben dan allemaal de mogelijkheid om voor 2 mana een counter extra te krijgen

Yup.
Cytoplast Root-Kin zegt: verplaats 1 +1/+1 counter. Die schuift naar een ander beestje dat je hebt. Hardened Scales zegt vervolgens dat, omdat er een +1/+1 counter op je beestje gezet wordt er nog 1tje extra op moet.

Als je de onderste ability van Cytoplast Root-Kin gebruikt, worden er dan 2 +1/+1 counters op hem geplaatst dankzij hardened scales?
Werkt ook heel goed met Graft!
Waarom denk je dat? Uit de Official Rulings:
"Placed on a creature you control includes that creature entering the battlefield with +1/+1 counters on it. If a creature would enter the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it while you control Hardened Scales, it enters with that many counters plus one."
Phantom Nomad krijgt hiermee drie counters ipv twee.
Jammer genoeg werkt hij niet met Phantom Nomad enzo...
