Ohhhh ja. Duh, dom van me... XD
Maar als beschikbaarheid zo'n grote rol speelt lijkt dat me inderdaad de reden. M10 is als laatst uit....
Ehm dat lijkt me niet, want als een versie van een kaart standard legal is ( M10 hier), dan zijn alle andere versies dat ook (saviors, 10th).
Beschikbaarheid is vaak een aardig invloedrijke factor van prijs.

Ik weet niet hoeveel het meetelt, maar M10 is in ieder geval standard legal en tenth edition niet.

Ik zie deze kaart in extended affinity nogal eens mainboard gespeeld worden. Is het de moeite waard iets minder aggro te spelen om in plaats daarvoor 3 van deze main te hebben in huidig extended?

Je moet inderdaad de beer noemen. Pithing Needle voorkomt dan alle* activaties van al Runeclaw Bears activated abilities. Inclusief abilities die hij via dubieuze achterbuurtdealers heeft verkregen. De urge zelf heeft alleen een static ability (die een activated ability geeft).
(* = mana abilities niet meegerekend)

Probleem:
Ik wil een Pithing Needle neerleggen om de ability te blocken van een Runeclaw Bear enchanted met een Predatory Urge.
Ik neem aan dat ik dan de bear moet noemen.. Maar weet het niet zeker aangezien de aura uiteindelijk de ability provide!
(Zou wel logisch zijn aangezien de aura geen activated ability heeft)

Pithing Needle affects cards regardless of what zone they’re in. This includes cards in hand, cards in the graveyard, and exiled cards. For example, a player can’t cycle Eternal Dragon or return an Eternal Dragon from their graveyard to hand if Pithing Needle naming Eternal Dragon is on the battlefield.

You can name any card, even if that card doesn’t normally have an activated ability. You can’t name a token unless that token has the same name as a card.

If you name a card that has both a mana ability and another activated ability, the mana ability can be activated but the other ability can’t be activated.

Once Pithing Needle has left the battlefield, activated abilities of sources with the chosen name can be activated again.

Activated abilities include a colon and are written in the form “[cost]: [effect].” Triggered abilities and static abilities of the named card work normally.
