Nee, hij zegt alleen dat er geen spells gecast mogen worden: is dit al gebeurd, dan doet de chant daar niets tegen. Dit staat ook in de officiele rulings

nee, want dan is de spell al gespeeld(hij moet dan alleen nog resolven) als je een counterspell speelt zorg je ervoor dat de spell naar de graveyard gaat voordat hij resolved. dat kan dus niet met chant.
