Aha, op die fiets. De tweede ability kijkt inderdaad alleen naar de eerste ability.

CR 607. Linked Abilities

607.5. If an object acquires a pair of linked abilities as part of the same effect, the abilities will be similarly linked to one another on that object even though they weren't printed on that object. They can't be linked to any other ability, regardless of what other abilities the object may currently have or may have had in the past.

Example:
Arc-Slogger has the ability ", Exile the top ten cards of your library: ArcSlogger deals 2 damage to any target."
Sisters of Stone Death has the ability ": Exile target creature blocking or blocked by Sisters of Stone Death" and the ability ": Put a creature card exiled with Sisters of Stone Death onto the battlefield under your control."
Quicksilver Elemental has the ability ": Quicksilver Elemental gains all activated abilities of target creature until end of turn."
If a player has Quicksilver Elemental gain Arc-Slogger's ability, activates it, then has Quicksilver Elemental gain Sisters of Stone Death's abilities, activates the exile ability, and then activates the return-to-the-battlefield ability, only the creature card Quicksilver Elemental exiled with Sisters of Stone Death's ability can be returned to the battlefield. Creature cards Quicksilver Elemental exiled with Arc-Slogger's ability can't be returned.

Als een kaart door Mairsil, the Pretender wordt opgenomen. Dan worden alle namen van de kaart die naar zichzelf verwijzen verandert in Mairsil, the Pretender.

Als Mairsil, the Pretender voor de eerste keer deze zou opnemen. Weer terug gaat naar de Command Zone. Dan weer opnieuw gecast wordt en dan bijv. Shauku, Endbringer zou opnemen. Maakt het dan nog uit van welke exile ability kaarten terug komen als je Mairsil, the Pretender voor deze 2e ability sact? Komt Shauku, Endbringer dan ook in het spel?

Ik snap je vraag niet helemaal maar in de tweede ability staat letterlijk "exiled with Pyxis of Pandemonium". De enige manier om iets te exilen met Pyxis is met de eerste ability. Ergo...

Hoe werkt deze 2e ability met Mairsil, the Pretender? Zou je dan alle artifacts en creatures die je ermee in exile gelegd hebt terug kunnen krijgen? Ik refereer niet naar alleen naar kaarten met cage counters, maar als ze bijv. ook andere exile abilities heeft gekregen. Of kijkt deze 2e ability altijd naar deze eerste ability?

Ik dacht namelijk dat die keuze er altijd was, of het nou face-up of face-down is en onacht of je wel of niet weet dat het je commander is.
Het moet dus bekend zijn of er een commander ergens heen gaat, en dán mag er pas een keuze worden gemaakt.
Eigenlijk vrij logisch. =)

Die keuze is er niet. De commander gaat face down naar de exile zone, en blijft daar totdat iets hem daar weg haalt.


Als een commander naar de exile zone gaat mag men hem inderdaad naar de command zone sturen, maar dan moet er wel bekend zijn dat er daadwerkelijk een commander exiled raakt. Pyxis of Pandemonium exiled de kaarten facedown zonder dat iemand ze mag zien, dus niemand weet of er een commander onder zit, dus wordt er geen mogelijkheid gegeven hem naar de command zone te verplaatsen.

903.13. If a card is put into the exile zone face down from anywhere, and a player is allowed to look at that card in exile, the player must immediately do so. If it's a commander owned by another player, the player that looked at it turns it face up and puts it into the command zone.

Dan mag de owner van de commander kiezen of hij naar de commandzone gaat of niet.

Wat gebeurt er als ik met Time Ebb of een soortgelijk effect een commander boven op een deck leg en dan Pyxis of Pandemonium activeer? Wordt een commander dan mogelijk in de command zone gelegd?
