Mijn ezelsbruggetje om het te onthouden: als je Fling zou casten zonder zijn additionele cost te betalen, zou hij compleet nutteloos zijn... dus additionele costs moet je altijd betalen, zelfs als je een spell mag casten zonder de normale cost te betalen.
Commander tax is een additional cost.
Vanwege As Foretold betaal je alleen de reguliere mana cost niet. Additional costs (zoals commander tax dus) moet je echter nog steeds betalen.
Ja, super leuke kaart in combinatie met Stasis en/of Winter Orb. Speel hem zelf in mijn mono blauwe Teferi, Temporal Archmage deckje!
Mijn vraag echter is hoe deze kaart werkt met de extra kosten die een commander krijgt wanneer hij terug naar de command zone gaat. Cast ik hem voor niks met deze kaart en tap ik mana als extra kosten of wordt de cmc gewoon verhoogd met 2?
Ik denk inderdaad ook dat het beter kan. Maar het is een optie (en origineel in plaats van Stasis combo lock te spelen).

Stasis is gewoon een hele nare kaart die je in combi speelt met andere kaarten, ja het is handig met As Foretold maar ik vind het niet een topper.
Wanneer je Stasis speelt via deze rakker en je mana open houdt, dan kun je je tegenstander vertragen zelf nog wel spells casten.

Als ik een kaart speel met cmc 2 dan moet ik toch 2 time counters eraf halen?
Er staat nergens dat je de timing regels mag negeren, dus inderdaad alleen creatures met flash.
De verwarring met Æther Vial is snel gemaakt, alleen Æther Vial heeft een ability die op instant speed gebruikt kan worden.
Hey allemaal,
Mag je hiermee ook in je tegenstander z'n beurt een creauture spelen? Of alleen beesten met flash en instants?

Dat is waar, maar Timecrafting kan ook time counters op permanents leggen.

If you cast a card for an alternative cost of 0, you can’t pay any other alternative costs, such as emerge costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, such as that of Tormenting Voice, you must pay those to cast the card.

A card’s converted mana cost is determined solely by the mana symbols printed in its upper right corner. The converted mana cost is the total amount of mana in that cost, regardless of color. For example, a card with mana cost 1UU has converted mana cost 3. Ignore any alternative costs, additional costs, cost increases, or cost reductions that could apply to it. A card with no mana cost has a converted mana cost of 0.

If a spell has no mana cost, its converted mana cost is 0. You can cast it with As Foretold’s alternative cost.

If you’re casting a split card, only the converted mana cost of the half you’re casting is compared to the number of time counters on As Foretold. This is because only that half is on the stack at the time that you choose to apply the effect of As Foretold.

If the card has X in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it for another cost that doesn’t include X. For example, if there are five time counters on As Foretold and you choose to use its effect to cast Pull from Tomorrow, X must be 0. X can’t be 2, even though the spell’s converted mana cost would be 4.

If you control multiple As Foretolds, you may cast one spell for each of them paying 0.

All counters with the same name are indistinguishable from other counters with that name. Cards from the Time Spiral block that interact with time counters will interact with As Foretold.
