Waarom post je dat hier? Omdat hij ook niet kan als je CotV op 1 legt? De overeenkomst tussen dat hij ook 2 
en heeft? Of mis ik nu iets?

Yep, dat is het zeker...
Maar dat is toch leuk met ELK artifact? 
Nu is dit een goede kaart, maar je kunt ook zeggen dat het leuk is om een Black Lotus of een Engineered Explosives uit het deck van je tegenstander te vissen!

De lol is om deze uit je oppo deck te halen en aan jouw kant te planten.... ( dat ik het uitleg is toch wel erg ) en het antwoord op vraag twee is "nee, dat ga ik niet doen en ik heb dat ook niet overwogen". Lolbroek.
En dat heeft wat met deze kaart te maken, behalve dat het een artifact is? Ga je het ook bij Rod of Ruin posten?

Oke bedankt voor de uitleg.
Klopt! Als je de CMC wil bepalen is altijd en overal 0. Behalve op de stack, dan is hij de waarde die je hebt gekozen. Jij koos 2, dus is de manacost van de Chalice

. En dus de CMC is dan 4. Dus wordt hij alleen gecountered door een Chalice met 4 counters.

Op de stack is X de gekozen waarde en heeft de nieuwe Chalice cmc 4. Een chalice op 0 zal hem dus niet counteren.

Whenever a player casts a spell with converted mana cost equal to the number of charge counters on Chalice of the Void, counter that spell.

Vraag: Ik heb een Chalice of the Void met 2 counters erop en mijn tegenstander speelt een Hypnotic Specter. Kan ik dan ervoor zorgen dat de Chalice de Specter countert door er snel een counter op te plaatsen met bijvoorbeeld Clockspinning?
Antwoord: Nee, je bent dan al te laat. Je mag pas reageren door er een counter op te leggen nadat de spell geplayed is en op de stack ligt. Maar dat is al te laat voor de Chalice om te triggeren.
Vraag: Ik heb een Chalice of the Void 3 counters erop en een Trinisphere in het spel. Worden nu alle spells die 3 of minder kosten gecountered?
Antwoord: Nee, want Chalice of the Void kijkt naar de converted mana cost (hier meer info over CMC), niet naar wat je er werkelijk voor betaalt.

The number of counters on Chalice of the Void matters only at the time the spell is cast. Changing the number of charge counters on Chalice of the Void after a spell has been cast won't change whether the ability counters the spell.

If there are zero charge counters on Chalice of the Void, it counters each spell with a converted mana cost of 0. This includes face-down creature spells cast with morph's alternative cost.

Chalice of the Void has to be on the battlefield at the end of casting a spell for the ability to trigger. If you sacrifice Chalice of the Void as a cost to cast a spell, its ability can't trigger. However, if it leaves the battlefield once its ability has triggered, that ability will still counter the spell.
