Voor de volledigheid: Hij vraagt niet om "target player" maar om "target player who controls more lands than he or she does and is his or her opponent".

The targeted player controlling more lands than the current player is a part of the targeting requirement. A player can't be targeted by this ability unless it's true, and the ability will be countered on resolution if it's no longer true at that time.

Het gaat dus niet lukken, want bij het triggeren moet je de targets al aanwijzen. Dus maakt het niet uit in welke volgorde je ze op de stack zou willen gooien. Deze trigger gaat simpelweg de stack niet op vanwege het ontbreken van een legal target.
Ja, maar: bij de poging tot het triggeren moet je iemand aan wijzen die meer land heeft dan jij. En dat kan niet, dus gaat het hele feest niet door.

Als ik deze heb liggen en een Vapor Snare op een gejat creature, mijn tegenstander heeft 5 land en ik ook. Kan ik tijdens mijn upkeep door de Snare eerst af te laten gaan, dan nog gebruik maken van deze?
